Russia's appeal against Olympics ban rejected

Sport's highest tribunal rejected on Thursday Russia's appeal against a doping ban for its entire athletics team from the Rio Olympics starting in 15 days' time, drawing swift and angry condemnation from Moscow.
The decision by the Swiss-based Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) increases the possibility that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will now exclude Russia from all sports, not just track and field, in Rio de Janeiro.

That would mark the deepest crisis in the Olympic movement since the U.S. and Soviet boycotts of the 1980s, and would be a grave blow to a nation that prides itself on its status as a sporting superpower.

Russia is one of the world's foremost sporting powers which won the third biggest overall medal haul at the last summer Olympics in 2012 -- though some of those results are now in question because of doping suspicions.

England appoint Sam Allardyce

Sam Allardyce is the new England manager, the Football Association has confirmed.
The 61-year-old leaves his post at Sunderland with immediate effect to succeed Roy Hodgson and has been handed an initial two-year contract.

Allardyce said: "I am extremely honoured to be appointed England manager, especially as it is no secret that this is the role I have always wanted. For me, it is absolutely the best job in English football.

"I will do everything I can to help England do well and give our nation the success our fans deserve. Above all, we have to make the people and the whole country proud.
"While my main focus will be on the senior team and getting positive results, I want to add my influence to the great work being done across the development teams at St George's Park - a facility I have used with my previous clubs.

"I know we have talented, committed players and it is time for us to deliver."
Allardyce will hold a news conference on Monday at St George's Park and his first match in charge will be a friendly at Wembley on Thursday 1 September against yet-to-be-named opponents, ahead of the World Cup 2018 qualifier in Slovakia on 4 September.

Donald Trump: Clinton responsible for ISIS

In a speech termed offensive to Americans, Donald Trump on Thursday implied that Hillary Clinton was responsible for ISIS' growth claiming that pre-2009 before she became Secretary of State and head of America's Foreign policy, feared terrorist group ISIS wasn't 'even on the map'. Trump also implied that Clinton helped spawn the different crises happening in the Middle East.

"In 2009 - pre-Hillary - ISIS was not even on the map," Trump said during the fourth day of the Republican National Convention on Thursday at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
"Libya was stable, Egypt was peaceful, Iraq was seeing a really, a big big reduction of violence. Iran was being choked by sanctions, Syria was somewhat under control - after years of Hillary Clinton, what do we have?"
"ISIS has spread across the region, Libya is in ruins - and our ambassador and his staff  were left helpless to die at the hands of savage killers. Egypt was turned over to the radical Muslim Brotherhood, forcing the military to re-take control. Iraq is in chaos, Iran is on the path to nuclear weapons, Syria is engulfed in a civil war, and refugee crisis now threatens the West," he said.
"After 15 years of wars in the Middle East, after trillions of dollars spent and thousands of lives lost, the situation is worse than it has ever been before. This is the legacy of Hillary Clinton - death, destruction, terrorism and weakness,"
"My message is that things have to change - and they have to change right now. I'm with you, I will fight for you, and I will win for you."

WINTER IS DELAYED!!!

In what has to be considered the biggest heartbreak for movie lovers all over the world, the producers of the ever green HBO series, Game of Thrones, have revealed that the seventh season won't be arriving in April next year.

HBO aired its sixth season finale of "Game of Thrones"on Sunday, June 26, 2016, and fans are anticipating its seventh season.
Just when fans have accepted that you would have to wait a full year for a new episode and season of "Game of Thrones," show runners reveal a very heartbreaking update.

David Benioff and D.B. Weiss appeared on the latest episode of the UFC Unfiltered podcast where they revealed that due to the long-awaited arrival of winter, season seven filming has been pushed back.
"We don't have an air date yet, but this year will probably be a little bit later," Weiss said.
"We're starting a bit later because at the end of this season, 'winter is here,' and that means that sunny weather doesn't really serve our purposes any more. So we kind of pushed everything down the line so we could get some grim grey weather even in the sunnier places that we shoot."
In a recent interview with EW, the showrunners confirmed that the seventh season is the penultimate season of show which is based on the popular book series "A Song of Ice and Fire," by George R.R. Martin.

John Snow
An official return date is yet to be announced for the show's seventh season which was originally scheduled to return in April 2017.
Titled "The Winds of Winter," the "GOT" season six finale ended with Daenerys finally coming back to Westeros; Jon Snow as king of the North and Cersei sitting on the Iron Throne.
